Justice for Mahad

A child separated from his family. A family asking to be heard. A community standing for fairness, compassion, and justice.

Mahad Said Abdullahi’s story has touched families across Columbus, Ohio, the Somali community, and supporters across the country. According to public reporting, Mahad was taken after CPS involvement following medical concerns. His family says they sought care, fought through the legal system, and were reportedly found not guilty of alleged neglect in December 2024. Yet Mahad remains separated from his family.

“Every child deserves love. Every family deserves justice. Bring Mahad home.”

Why This Matters

More than one child. A question of fairness.

Mahad’s story is not only about one child. It is about family, fairness, communication, and justice.

When families face powerful systems such as hospitals, courts, and child protective services, they deserve to be heard clearly and treated with dignity. Immigrant and refugee families often face additional barriers, including language access, cultural misunderstandings, fear of authority, and limited legal resources.

Justice for Mahad is a peaceful advocacy movement asking for transparency, compassion, and reunification.

“This campaign is not about hate. It is about humanity.”

Our Message

Every child deserves love. Every parent deserves fairness. Every family deserves to be heard.

This campaign is not about hate. It is about humanity. It is about asking questions respectfully. It is about standing with a family that continues to fight for their child.
